A Celebration with a Bang

This year we are pleased to celebrate World Menstrual hygiene day alongside KujaEcoPads, which is Cameroon’s first 100% biodegradable low cost sanitary napkins made by using locally sourced banana stem fibers. For the first time in Cameroon, women from all social statuses can afford pads.

Our week long activities to commemorate MHD 2018 kicked off on May 18th and will run through to the 24th of May 2018. We shall hold menstrual hygiene workshops with prison inmates and council women of the Bamenda 1, a symposium for girls at our center and a huge Menstrual hygiene day conference starting with a voluntary walk to break the silence at the palace of the Fon of Bamendakwe.

Sanitary napkins to be donated for these events are made possible by the Bamenda 1 council and the elites of this communities where we shall be holding workshops.
