Let’s be honest. The menstrual cycle has got a bad rep. Right? How do you think this “bad rep” affects our girls? (and boys).
For over a year The Good Cycle has been raising awareness about the menstrual cycle in unusual ways; giving talks and workshops to advertising agencies, magazines, mums, daughters and even dads!
Today, May 28th, is the International Menstrual Hygiene Day. A day where people and organisations from all over the world come together to break the stigma around menstruation . This year the theme chosen by MHD is education and The Good Cycle wanted to get involved.
If you feel like having an open conversation about the menstrual cycle, challenging old beliefs and supporting the creation of a new and positive outlook on the menstrual cycle for the sake of the younger generation, then come along to this free talk.
During our time together I’ll share why I got into this work, the problem with “hidden” menstrual shame and how changing our perception could change everything.
Bring a pack of Pads for the Sydney Period Project as a contribution, or purchase some on the day.
