May 28th Menstrual Hygiene Day Essay Competition

We are observing Menstrual Hygiene Day, May 28th, 2018 with this year’s theme, ‘EMPOWERMENT’. We feel the need to celebrate this sacred life by giving the menstrual cycle of women its significance in the development of women and the girl child, and our society at large.

We are organizing a Sensitization Tour cum Awareness Campaign on ‘PERIODtalk – Empowering women & girls through good menstrual hygiene’ by conducting an essay-writing and Health Talk show along with a panel discussion on “No More Limits on Menstruation Matters” by PadAGirl Project Africa (PPA). We encourage students and youths in general to take part in the competition and also to participate in the main event as it is intended to spread awareness and clear misconceptions about menstruation.
