The Sexual and Reproductive Health Knowledge Platform in Burundi has been engaged for more than 5 years in promoting knowledge and best practices.
On the occasion of the day dedicated to the promotion of menstrual hygiene, SHare-Net in collaboration with the members of its national community of practice dedicated to menstrual health in Burundi celebrate this day through an advocacy on a subject that remains taboo in Burundian society.
In the past, the platform has always supported efforts to promote a legal and political framework that would allow each young woman to live with dignity during her periods. Let’s recall that in Burundi, according to a study conducted by SaCoDe, more than 75% of young women were unable to access sanitary napkins.
