The Menstrual Hygiene Awareness day is being planned to raise awareness of secondary school girls living in rural communities in Ondo State Nigeria on best practices in using menstrual hygiene materials, practicing personal hygiene during periods and being confident to carry on with their lives during periods without feeling ashamed or stigmatized.
