Menstrual Hygiene Day at UW

Join us for a day of fun and discussion to raise awareness and recognize the importance of menstruation in women’s health. This year, the theme of International Menstrual Hygiene Day is “Education”. At the University of Waterloo, our aim is to engage everyone around us through education to draw attention to the extent of the stigma and lack of menstrual hygiene around the world.

Faculty, staff, students, and the community are welcome to attend.

• Engage in fun and interactive activities
• Learn about the importance of menstruation in women’s health from professors and student experts

-Sabrina Rubli, co-Founder and Executive Director of Canadian NGO Femme International

-Elizabeth Onyango, PhD Candidate in Geography at the University of Waterloo and Queen Elizabeth Scholar

-Dr. Susan Elliott, Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo
