Center for microFinance (CmF) has been working on MHM in Rajasthan, in the two districts of Pali and Sirohi since April 2017. We have been working with the community women and adolescent girls in the schools. Breaking the silence around menstruation, introducing sustainable menstrual products (safe use and proper disposal) and following hygienic practices during menstrual cycles have been our areas of work. Till now, we have oriented 12, 000 community women and 6,000 school girls. The MHM initiative is carried out in the project areas with joint support from Tata Trusts, One Drop and HT Parekh Foundation.
On the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, CmF is organizing MHM Mela – Mahavari Mahotsav in Pindwara Block of Sirohi District. The event will be involving approx. 500 community/SHG women and adolescent girls along with several Government officials.
