National Event on MH Day: #WeAreCommitted: Dignified Menstruation in Schools

In Nepal, there have been significant efforts over the last years to improve the situation for girls in schools, such as the “Free Sanitary Pad Initiative” announced by the government in 2019, or also the revision of the national school curriculum to include topics of Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health (CSRH) and menstruation from grade 4 to 12.
This year, MHMPA is organizing a national event to raise awareness and advocate, but also to review, what effects the initiatives have had and continue to have impact on the lives of girls and women. The national slogan of this year’s celebration is dedicated to the national initiatives around education in schools and thus:
‘#WeAreCommitted: Dignified Menstruation in Schools’
