Hosted by Irise Institute East Africa, Uganda Youth and Adolescents Health Forum, Tanzania Menstrual Health Coalition, AFRIpads, Malkia Initiative, Voice of Youth Tanzania, and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports Uganda – Gender Equity and Budgeting Unit, and Ministry of Health – Adolescent and School Health Division, supported by Irise International, Power to Youth, and Foundation for a Just Society.
As we commemorate Menstrual Health Day, this impactful webinar brings together leading organizations and institutions dedicated to menstrual justice. Together, we will reflect on the strides made so far, address challenges, and uncover opportunities for further action. This event serves as a prelude to the National Menstrual Health Commemoration for Uganda, scheduled for May 26th, 2023 in Moyo district.
By breaking the silence and raising awareness of menstrual justice, we aim to reshape negative social norms surrounding menstrual health. By engaging decision-makers, we strive to increase political priority and ignite action for menstrual health and hygiene at the global, national, and local levels.
