MHM day will be celebrated in Ethiopia at the national level with a theme of “My Right to Good Menstrual Hygiene”. It is an advocacy platform for the opinion leaders and decision-makers in all government and non-government organisations to break the silence around menstruation and promote initiatives on menstrual hygiene management interventions to bring the issue into the spotlight.

The event is expected to be started by the speech of different ministers of water hygiene and sanitation signatories, followed by presentation of the KAP facts at the national level, business supply chain results for the sanitary pad production and presentation of draft national standard of the sanitary standard. It is also expected that decision-makers take part in the panel discussion to provide opinions on different issues that need answers.
