Semilla Roja is a social project that aims to rais awareness about the menstrual cycle and menstrual hygiene in young girls and boys (from 10 to 19 years old) through workshops and small classes. The project is created and developed in Chiapas, México, a south-eastern state, at the border with Guatemala, that is affected by several social and economic issues, including women health, economic development, education and access to water.
We started working in secondary schools and this is our first year celebrations Menstrual Hygiene Day.
