May 28 is Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day), a day dedicated to bringing awareness around the vital role that good menstrual hygiene management (MHM) plays in empowering women and adolescent girls worldwide. Poor menstrual hygiene caused by a lack of education on the issue, persisting taboos and stigma, limited access to hygienic menstrual products and poor sanitation infrastructure undermines the educational opportunities, health and overall social status of women and girls around the world. As a result, millions of women and girls are kept from reaching their full potential.
Please join Sarah Goddard, Governance and Global Health Officer at Global Communities, and Audrey Anderson, COO at Be Girl, to learn more about MHM and preliminary results from their collaborative MHM pilot in Ghana.
