World Menstrual Hygiene Day

In a third world country like Bangladesh, Menstrual Hygiene is a very complicated subject. It has a lot of social and religious taboo surrounding it. Religious/Cultural superstition, lack of education and awareness in the rural area are the main causes behind this taboo. Youth’s Worldwide Foundation has been working since 2014 to eradicate this taboo. We organize cycle rally, walkathon, and interactive seminars for adolescent girls around the country. These seminars are conducted by our highly trained female volunteers and the question answer session is conducted by a female doctor. We run this awareness campaign all over the country for two months. This year we have teamed up with Real Relief and planning to launch a reusable serenity napkin on 28th may.
