Today is World Menstrual Hygiene Day, a global initiative to raise awareness around the challenges and taboos girls and women face during menstruation.
World Menstrual Hygiene Day is an awareness day celebrated every year all over the world on the 28th of May to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management. It was initiated by the German-based NGO, WASH United in 2014, and aims to benefit women and girls worldwide. Rising Hope Foundation For Change (RHFC) joined the women and girls of HOTPEC Orphanage, Mile 14, Buea for this year’s celebration to educate and donate sanitary pads. The theme this year was “No More Limits – Empowering Women and Girls Through Menstrual Hygiene.”
It was a great success, thanks to our generous, kind-hearted fans, supporters, partners, speakers, volunteers, RHFC members worldwide and especially to the Regional Delegation for Women Empowerment and the Family, South West Region, Cameroon.
We are the change we want to see!
